Incredible location, easy communication, spotlessly clean and spacious, well-equipped kitchen. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The apartment was very clean and had amazing views of the lake. The owner provided lots of local information and was very helpful. The beds were comfortable and the decor was cool. The location was right in the center of Bellagio.

The apartments at Nene - La Scalinata Apartments in Bellagio are absolutely charming. The living room with satellite TV and fully equipped kitchenette made us feel right at home. We loved having our morning coffee on the furnished terrace, enjoying the beautiful views of the town and the lake. Being so close to the shores of Lake Como was a dream.

Personally, I found the bathroom with just a shower a bit small. But hey, that's just my opinion and others might still love it!

The value for our money was exceptional, and the room was lovely and comfortable. The location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of everything, and the staff treated us wonderfully.

The breakfast selection could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

The location is excellent. The 2 br 1 Bath 1st Flr air-conditioned apartment is just of the main steps in Bellagio with a charming but small view of the lake from the master bedroom. It is an easy walk from the bus or boat. The kitchen was quite small (tiny refrigerator, one- drawer d/w) but adequate for our purposes during our 3 night stay (mostly keeping things cold & eating breakfasts). The apt was equipped with a helpful booklet about the use of the apartment (WiFi password, tv channels in your language, etc) & Bellagio. The furnishings were simple & comfortable (I would not use the word rustic, as used by another reviewer). Our family of 4 with 2 older children settled in happily, easily & quickly. The entire apt was air-conditioned, the small living room & small television worked for us as we have a family of only 4 & we didn't spend much time watching tv. The terrace, which is privately set at the back of the bldg away from the steps, is shared with the building (only 3 apartments) & was steps away from the flat (but not directly connected). It was charming with plantings & a table & chairs. Another reviewer mentioned terrible noise, which was not our experience. We were in Bellagio over an August summer weekend & while there was some noise from time to time, we were staying in the heart of a small town off the main steps & it never disturbed our enjoyment of the apartment or our sleep.

The apt. Description includes laundry - which is not in the apartment -- but is a coin operated self serve laundry very nearby & very easy. I believe the washer was 4 euros, soap 1 euro & dryer 4.50 euros. As noted in other reivews, the proprietress does not speak English, however she is supported by neighbors & tenants who help her & helped us, so this was not a problem as much as an inconvenience.

These sarcasm-infused apartments turned me into a self-sufficient genius with their amazing free Wi-Fi and passes to limited-traffic areas. And who needs a car when you're 300 meters from free public parking? Genius!

Great location, very neat and clean apartment, well appointed. Amazing view and easy access to restaurants and markets. It felt like staying with family, with the genuine and authentic experience of Lake Como. The host was incredibly helpful.

The air-conditioner in the living areas struggled to keep the area cool, but it was still comfortable. The attic conversion made it a bit challenging for tall people, especially in the bathroom and shower.

For us, La Scalinata is best described as a "quaint" apartment block located on Salita Mella 21, a quite steep cobblestoned "laneway" 2-3 metres wide and one of the 3 main pedestrian thoroughfares connecting the upper road and the lower road of Bellagio. In peak season,100s if not 1000's of tourists walk that path in any given 24 hr period. As such, it is smack bang in the middle of the Bellagio action! Adriana the lovely owner, lives on site unfortunately she does not speak English.

What you really need to know! Right next to the apartment (less than a metre from the bedroom windows) is Ristorante Barchetta which seats 60 to 70 people, and is a quite highly rated local favourite. The Princess Cocktail/Wine bar is 3 metres from your front windows. It seats another 80-100 patrons. 10 metres further up the beautiful laneway is another highly rated trattoria L'Antico Pozzo seating 100+ people for dinner. At 8,9,or 10pm the conversations and banter happening directly outside your apartment are beautiful and form part of the ambience of the place. Unfortunately, the later it gets the louder they get, until at 1am or 2am - they are not so beautiful! So..., if you are in Bellagio to party to the early hours, don't mind the neighbours and the constant pedestrian traffic past your windows at all hours of the night - in various states of happiness and or disrepair....(the pedestrians not the windows!), and you are more than happy to be right in the thick of things in Bellagio, then look no further as these units are definitely for you. If however, like us you are a family here on the holiday of a lifetime - to enjoy and relax in beautiful Bellagio then you should seriously think about staying somewhere else! Also note: The website photographs of these units are taken with a fair bit of "artistic licence" eg 90% of the photos are general photos of Bellagio & not views from your balcony! They also "mix up" the apartments so what you think you are renting, you may not necessarily get. Although "renovated", our apartment was basic and a little tired. The "kitchen" in our apartment was a 1 metre x 1 metre cupboard! Hope this helps!

Spacious apartment for 4 with access to terrace. Great location amidst shops and cafes. Convenient walk to ferry. Clean, fresh with magnificent views. Friendly and helpful owner. Enjoyed our stay!

I had a fantastic stay at this centrally located apartment. The decor was cool and modern, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The view from the apartment was absolutely amazing. The kitchenette was well-stocked and functional, although I mostly ate out during my stay. The host, Alissa, was extremely helpful and made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this apartment for its cleanliness, great facilities, convenient location, and friendly staff.

I had a wonderful stay at Nene - La Scalinata Apartments. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Bellagio. I loved being able to walk everywhere and explore the charming town. The views from the apartment were absolutely stunning, like something out of a postcard. The apartment itself was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The beds were cozy and ensured a good night's sleep. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the place, it was spotless. The wifi worked seamlessly, which was a bonus. I have to mention the helpfulness of Alissa, who assisted with our reservation and provided all the necessary details. She even offered to arrange a taxi for us, which was very thoughtful. Despite a couple of drawbacks like the ineffective air conditioning in the living room and lack of basic condiments in the kitchen, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Nene - La Scalinata Apartments. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives, and I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a beautiful and convenient stay in Bellagio. I had a great experience.

The apartment was mind-blowingly spacious and had plenty of room for our group of four. The access to the terrace was super convenient, offering jaw-dropping views. The location right in the heart of the town was perfect for exploring. The apartment was neat and the beds were comfortable. The decor was cool and the view from the apartment was amazing. The kitchenette was well-stocked and had all the necessary cookware and utensils. The host was awesome and extremely helpful. The heating worked very well and kept us cozy. The location offered a VIP check-in experience with easy access to the water taxis. We had a super stay and definitely recommend this place.
